Questions & Answers

What type of event is this? It is an APBA sanctioned limited inboard hydroplane race.

When will this event take place? Saturday August 9th 2008 and Sunday August 10th.
Two full days of racing under sunny skies.

Where will this take place? Off of the City of Algonac public boardwalk between the old
Henry's restaurant & the US Customs office.

What can we expect to see? Dozens of inboard hydroplanes from seven classifications all
vying to win the Chris Craft Silver Cup on the 1 1/4 mile course on the North Channel.

What racing club is behind all of this? The Marine Prop Riders The Prop Riders
are also the club behind the infamous
Quake On The Lake race on Pontiac Lake.

What do these boats look like exactly and will I be able to get up close & personal with them? Indeed,
fans will be able to purchase "pit passes". The pit is the area where the boats are staged and launched
via large cranes. In Algonac this area will be across from the Dairy Queen near the boat ramp.
